Our nursing home, the “Altenpflegeheim Bethanien”, built in 1999/2000, is situated in the middle of a well-kept park with over 100 years old trees, directly on the small river “Kleine Luppe”, on the border of Lindenau and Plagwitz. Park areas, all kinds of shopping and service facilities as well as medical practices and hospital can be easily reached from us. There is also a good connection to public transport.
On three residential floors, we look after and care for people in need of care at all levels. In addition, each of the three residential areas of the nursing home has a common room and lounges in the corridor area. Our large lounge on the ground floor with a roofed terrace is used for communal meals, parties and celebrations. On the ground floor there are rooms for day care with therapy rooms and the Snoezel room, as well as various function rooms, which are accessible from the generously proportioned foyer.
The elevator, all sanitary facilities as well as the rooms and areas mentioned above can be reached barrier-free. The large garden belonging to the nursing home and our roofed sun terrace with a view of the river invite you to take a walk or relax.
The costs for our home (the so-called “Heimentgelt”) are made up of various factors and these vary from state to state. As with living in your own four walls (rent, electricity, food), we charge for accommodation and our 24/7 meal offer. These are part of the home costs, which have to be borne by the person in need of care.
Also the necessary care by our professionally trained personnel costs money and must be financed by the nursing home fee.
Further costs, which you have to bear additionally, are for possible hairdresser or foot care appointments, your private telephone (14,95 € per month) and TV (5,95 € per month), as well as private co-payments (e.g. for pharmacy etc.) and proportional costs for external trips.

On three floors 48 single and 18 double rooms are available, each with its own sanitary bathroom. On each floor, a nursing bathroom also makes daily hygiene easier for residents and staff. On each floor of the nursing home there is a common room as well as lounges in the corridor area as an opportunity for encounters.
Each room has a telephone and television connection as well as an emergency call system.
In addition, the rooms are equipped with basic furniture suitable for care. The rooms can also be furnished with your own furniture and furnishings. Our house has been designed in such a way that it is not necessary to move even if the need for nursing care increases.
Care: In the sense of holistic care, festivals, excursions, walks are just as important to us as readings, newspaper shows, music and game afternoons as well as the offer for certain interest groups, which come together for gymnastics, bus rides, games and music events.
